The 21-year-old actor was arrested Feb. 18 in Burbank for allegedly puffing away on a downtown sidewalk in front of a store – a crime in that city. The District Attorney agreed to drop the charge in exchange for the penalty.
LaBeouf, star of Transformers and the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, had briefly faced a $1,000 bench warrant when neither he nor his lawyer showed up for a hearing.
The warrant was rescinded the next day when his attorney appeared in court to plead not guilty. – Mike Fleeman
