Donny and Marie Osmond, well-scrubbed as ever, announced Friday morning that they will be starring in a new Las Vegas revue, kicking off in September at the Flamingo Resort. Tickets go on sale Monday.
The 90-minute multimedia variety show will mark the first time in 29 years that they will have performed an extended residency engagement in the Nevada gambling capital.
Coincidentally, Donny, 50, and Marie Osmond, 48 (the only sister in the family), will be going head to head against their brothers – Wayne, Merrill, Jay, and Jimmy – who, also starting in September, will be starring in their own show at the Las Vegas Orleans Hotel.
In addition to Marie's memorable stint on Dancing With The Stars last season, she and Donny hosted the Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas and will be hosting NBC's America’s Favorite Mom on May 11, Mother's Day.
The Flamingo's current attraction, Toni Braxton, recently canceled several of her shows, due to illness. She is scheduled to resume performances in May. The hotel would not confirm if the Osmonds would be serving as her replacement.
