All That Jazz!
The 2008 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival kicks off Friday for 10 days of performances by some of the top jazz artists – plus cross-genre acts like Sheryl Crow, Tim McGraw, Stevie Wonder, Robert Plant and Billy Joel. The event, which started in 1970, brings more than 400,000 music fans to the city every year.Whitney Houston Set to Hit the Stage
In other (big!) jazz festival news, Whitney Houston is set to perform Sunday night at the Plymouth Jazz Festival on the Caribbean island of Tobago. The singer, who's working on a comeback album with super-producer Clive Davis, will headline the third and last day of the festival. Rod Stewart and Shakira will also take the stage this weekend.Conchords Take Flight
Fans of the HBO show Flight of the Conchords are flocking to the stores for the New Zealand duo's first full-length album, out this week. The 15-track self-titled album features new versions of memorable songs from the show, including "Inner City Pressure" and "Bowie." Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement won a Grammy in the Best Comedy Album category this year for their first, six-song release.
