WHY SHOOT THEM OFFSTAGE? I loved the incongruence of taking fictional characters and releasing them into the world with everyone else. There were certainly lots of stares.
DO YOU FEEL PRESSURE TO LIVE UP TO YOUR MOM'S LEGACY? I'm always thrilled when I'm compared to my mom, but our work is very different. I'm not competing with her. I miss her not being here. One of the many reasons I became a photographer was to keep her memory alive.
