CAMERON'S SPRING FLING!
Single and on a mission to mingle, Cameron Diaz, 35, has been painting the town red with her latest conquest: 300 heartthrob Gerard Butler, 38. "She has been seeing a little of Gerard," a source tells Scoop. That "little" includes a late-night rendezvous on March 29 at the Hollywood lounge Teddy's, where the lovey-dovey duo cuddled in a two-person booth until 2 a.m., and a stop at Robert Downey Jr.'s birthday party at Chateau Marmont on April 4 with the likes of Reese Witherspoon, Jake Gyllenhaal and Ben Stiller. Though they left the hotel together, the next night Diaz stopped by Bar Nineteen 12 at the Beverly Hills Hotel with Sean Combs, drinking dirty martinis and sitting with their arms intertwined. But Diaz is unabashed about playing the field, telling May's British GQ?, "I'm boy crazy. I love boys!"
WHAT IT COSTS TO PARTY LIKE K-FED
On April 3 documents chronicling Kevin Federline's 2007 finances were released: $279 at Home Depot, $56 at Burger King. Those charges are innocuous, but check out his nightlife tab! Britney Spears' lawyers argue if he can live this high, he can pay his own legal fees. Says his attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan: "[His legal bills] were built up by the conduct of the other party."
Federline spent more than $10,000 on New Year's Eve 2007.

BRITNEY'S NEXT GIG?
After spending time with her sons Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, on April 3, Britney Spears took another baby step toward career rehab, meeting with Christian Audigier of trendy streetwear brand Ed Hardy to discuss possibly designing a kid's clothing line. "She is always reinventing herself, and music and fashion work very well together," says Audigier, who met with the 26-year-old mother of two at his L.A. office. "With my help and Britney's name, the marketing possibilities are endless. She would be an excellent business partner."
Kylie Minogue MISDIAGNOSED
While discussing her breast cancer fight with Ellen DeGeneres on April 7, Kylie Minogue, 39, revealed, "I was misdiagnosed initially." Minogue, whose new CD is called X, later added in a statement: "I am in the very best hands now ... but my initial diagnosis was that I was 'all right and had nothing to worry about.' A few weeks later this was clearly not the case." Kylie's news prompted Ellen, whose mother battled breast cancer, to admit she also got an all-clear mammogram only to find a lump in her breast later, which was removed.
COVER GIRL REDUX
First, Lindsay Lohan goes nude for New York magazine. Now Jessica Simpson, 27, is shaving for Esquire. In a nod to a March 1965 cover featuring Italian actress Virna Lisi—who appeared mid-shave to create buzz around feminism—Simpson lathered up and posed soaking wet for her closeups, shot in Los Angeles by Fabrizio Ferri.
Kiefer's Fashion Editor Sweetheart
Two months after being released from jail for DUI-related charges, Kiefer Sutherland, 41, has a new girlfriend, says a source: former model Siobhan Bonnouvrier, 37, Allure magazine's style director. The duo have made a few public cameos, including lunch at Pastis in N.Y.C.'s Meatpacking District on April 1, and then in London on April 8, ducking into a car together.
Engagement Over for Weeds Stars
On-again, off-again couple Mary-Louise Parker, 43, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, 41, have called off their engagement. The Weeds costars—she plays a pot-dealing mom; he plays her deceased husband—began dating in 2006, split briefly last June (at the time Morgan said, "It just didn't work out. Wrong time in both our lives"), then got engaged earlier this year. Reps for Parker and Morgan declined to comment.
Date Night for Dexter Costars
Dexter costars Michael C. Hall, 37, and Jennifer Carpenter, 28—siblings on the Showtime series—were spotted at L.A.'s Sunset Tower Hotel on April 2, seated at the back of its restaurant. "They were on a date," says a source. An onlooker adds their coupling isn't interfering with their work. "They are very professional. But, no question, they're having fun!"
THIS WEEK'S AMERICAN IDOL BUZZ
RYAN'S GOT A DATE!
Ryan Seacrest, 33—who often says he's too busy to date—has managed to carve out time from his frenetic schedule to charm actress Sophie Monk, 28, the ex-fiancée of Benji Madden, 29. "They were introduced about a month ago by a mutual friend of theirs, and they ended up spending time together, but with other people," says a source. But on April 4 the pair went on their first date, starting off at West Hollywood's Ago Restaurant ("They were cozy. He was very attentive," says an observer), followed by drinks and cuddling at Foxtail.
THIS WEEK'S DANCING WITH THE STARS BUZZ
HER OTHER PARTNER
Marlee Matlin, 42, has two Dancing partners: professional dancer Fabian Sanchez and her sign language interpreter of 22 years Jack Jason, who's often at her side on the show. Although Matlin can read lips, Jason says he's with her at "anything work related" because "she likes to be completely understood." But, he says, "People often confuse what I'm saying with what she's saying." Several years ago, after she gave birth to one of her four kids, Matlin spoke to a group of Girl Scouts, he recalls. "She said, 'Excuse me, I have to pump now,' and everyone looks at me [until] I said, 'Wait a minute, she has to pump!'"
CHERYL OPENS HER OWN DANCE STUDIO
Move over Fred Astaire, and step off Arthur Murray: Two-time Dancing with the Stars champ Cheryl Burke, 23, opened her own dance studio in her hometown of San Francisco on April 4. "I just want this to be the new, hip place to go to for ballroom dancing," Burke told Scoop at the opening bash. "As soon as the season's over, I'll be here as much as I can."
WHERE THE STARS PARTY AND HOW TO GET IN!
HYDE, S BAR & FOXTAIL, L.A.
They're the hottest venues in town—KATE HUDSON and SCARLETT JOHANSSON visit—and "Queen of the Door" Jenifer Rosero works all three. "Everyone is screaming my name, I take more notice of the person who isn't—be cool and patient. I'll notice you."
THE FLORIDA ROOM AT THE DELANO, MIAMI
"Get here early," says door manager Granville Adams of the lounge DREW BARRYMORE hits. "Don't underdress and be polite."
"If you don't get in, don't debate—we have good memories," says doorman Alexander Julian of the intimate venue where JESSICA SIMPSON parties.
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and Penélope Cruz chill here. If you want to, "be nice," says Wass Stevens. Bouncers recognize "a bad attitude will bring down the party."
JESSICA'S BABY SHOWER
IT'S A GIRL!
"She was glowing," says a guest at Jessica Alba's baby shower, held on April 6 at the Ever After Teahouse in Studio City, Calif. Rashida and Kadida Jones, Kim Kardashian and Jaime King joined Alba and fiancé Cash Warren's family members for fortune-telling and arts and crafts. Halfway through the event, Warren showed up to help celebrate—and carry gifts to the car! Among them: a Serena & Lily baby sling, Gymboree Brand New baby clothing and a diaper "cake" from her mother. "Jessica was adorable," added the guest. "She said she's so ready to be a mom."
DIAPER CAKE AND ONESIE FROM L.A.'S SHOP INTUITION; GYMBOREE BRAND NEW BIB.
Will & Kate's WILD NIGHT
Prince William and girlfriend Kate Middleton danced cozily at a charity event in London and then jammed to Guns N' Roses. "They looked so happy and in love," says a guest. Also there was Prince Harry—home from a visit with Chelsy Davy in South Africa—who along with his brother watched a contortionist perform as well as a female stripper. Will and Kate laughed and covered their faces at the full-monty finale, then left together.
The hunky star on his big night and bonding with Brad Pitt
You costar in Prom Night, out April 11, about a murderer who stalks a high school senior (Brittany Snow). How was your own prom?
Incredibly violent. We got into a brawl at the end of the evening. It was just one side of the tracks versus the other side. I took my high school sweetheart. She wasn't too happy.
What was it like working on a thriller?
We all had to go to a deeply emotional place. [Prom Night] relies on our inner fears. It will make you squirm in your seat.
Any interest in doing something more light-hearted?
I could never do a musical since I can't sing ... I can dance, though! I challenged [ex-wife Christina Applegate] to a dance-off [last November at L.A.'s Les Deux] since we're fans of Dancing with the Stars.
Any interest in marrying again?
I hope I can find the openness to allow love in my life again ... I'm more cynical and more wary.
You're 38; do you want to be a dad some day?
I want to have a kid. I should have a baby by now. We look for meaning and purpose; children bring that. I had a conversation about it with Brad Pitt way back when. Brad's not just a pretty boy. He's a very deep thinker.
How many kids do you want?
Nine males so I can make a team and fill the Baltimore Orioles in 18 years when I buy them!
