"I think guys who wear 'guyliner' – emo guys – and pull it off are hot!" she tells PEOPLE. "Guys can embrace makeup and flat irons and stuff like that and I have no problem with that. I think if it's done right, it can be really, really cute."
Then again, she adds, "I sing country music and I think those down-home guys that just go out and do their thing without any makeup or product and roll out of bed and look great, I think that's hot too."
The unmarried "Picture to Burn" singer just appreciates any man with confidence. "I like trendy guys, guys who know what they like fashion-wise, whether they are into the whole preppy thing or if they dress rock and roll," she says. "Whatever their thing is, I think it's cool when a guy knows what his style is and embraces it."
