Rodman, 46, was taken into custody after police arrived on the scene shortly after 10:15 p.m., responding to a domestic dispute.
"Officers learned [Rodman] hit a woman and that she had suffered injuries to her arms," a police statement read.
The former NBA star posted $50,000 bail and was released five hours later. A court date is set for May 22.
