Former Saturday Night Live comedian Garrett Morris and his wife, Freda, are divorcing, according to court papers filed in Los Angeles Monday.
The pair wed in September 1996 and separated in 2002. The actor cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The couple have no children.
Morris was a writer and performer on SNL in the
1970s. He also appeared on ER, Murder She Wrote and The Jeffersons. Up next is a role in the comedy Sonny Dream Weaver with Simon Rex.
