Kennedy suffered a seizure and was taken by helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital Saturday morning after being treated at the Cape Cod Hospital emergency room. The 76-year-old liberal stalwart is the last living brother of President John F. Kennedy, who was assassinated in 1963.
Doctors said he has a tumor in his left parietal lobe but hasn't suffered any more seizures. They haven't decided on a treatment yet, but it usually involves a combination of chemotherapy and radiation. Kennedy will remain at the hospital for a couple more days.
"He remains in good spirits and full of energy," Dr. Lee Schwamm and Dr. Larry Ronan said in a statement.
