TWO ARRESTS IN TWO WEEKS
On May 7, East London police booked Winehouse, 24, after obtaining a video which allegedly showed her taking narcotics; she was released on bail after eight hours and must return later this month pending police investigation. She also spent the night of April 25 in jail for allegedly slapping a man during a late-night scuffle.
A scrawny Winehouse was snapped May 4 wandering around a friend's yard in a bra and shorts, her hair a patchy mess of knots. She also was photographed May 9 with cuts and scabs all over her left arm (see photo). "She is a danger to herself," her father, Mitch, told the U.K.'s News of the World on April 27, explaining that "radical measures" such as committing her are now necessary. "She's self-harming," says a source close to Amy. "Everybody can see that, but nobody's doing enough about it. It's scary to love her and to watch this."
LETTING HER PRODUCER DOWN
When asked if he was working with Winehouse on a new James Bond theme song, her producer Mark Ronson told the U.K.'s Sky News it would take "some miracle of science" for the two to record together, adding, "I'm not sure she's ready to work on music yet." (Her rep says, "Mark presented a track to Amy, but she had other ideas about the direction it should take.")
SHE'S STILL WITH BLAKE
May 18 will mark her first anniversary with husband Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, a former video assistant who is in jail awaiting trial. Despite rumors of infidelity on both sides, Winehouse has been sporting a heart-shaped brooch that says "Blake." As she told reporters in April, "We're going to be together forever."
