Pop singer Taylor Dayne was sentenced to probation and a fine on Monday in Beverly Hills court stemming from a DUI arrest in March.

In a deal with prosecutors, Dayne, 46, pleaded no contest to reckless driving.

"We proved to prosecutors that Taylor wasn't driving under the influence, and that alcohol wasn't a factor in this case," her attorney Scott Spindel says.

The singer, who shot to fame with her 1988 hit "Tell It to My Heart," was arrested in Beverly Hills on March 6 after failing field sobriety tests.

Dayne's attorney, Scott Spindel, wasn't immediately available for comment.
