The rapper's album outsells all other albums in first week
There's nothing small about rapper Lil Wayne's CD sales.

According to Nielsen SoundScan figures, his new release, Tha Carter III, sold one million copies in its first week – making it the best-selling first week of a CD of 2008. Ron Williams, co-founder of Lil Wayne's record label, Cash Money Records, told the Associated Press, "I've been saying a million all along, and I've been telling people, and they've been looking at me crazy."

The New Orleans native, 25 – who recently had a No. 1 hit with the single "Lollipop" – saw his last two CDs hit platinum, but not so quickly. (In fact, it's a feat that hasn't been accomplished since 50 Cent did it in 2005.) "He worked hard. He just came with something different," said Williams.
