Christie Brinkley's soon-to-be ex-husband, Peter Cook, took time away from the increasingly bitter divorce Wednesday to throw an early birthday party for his daughter with the supermodel.
Sailor's 10th birthday is actually next Wednesday – which happens to be when Brinkley's and Cook's divorce hearing kicks off in court.
To mark the happy occasion, Cook took Sailor Lee and her friends to a Long Island water park before the group retired to his Hamptons home for an evening party with friends and family.
"She had a great day," Cook told the Daily News
Cook's current girlfriend, Suzanne Shaw, set up the party, and insisted that there's no bad blood between Brinkley and herself.
"I don't know Christie," she said. "I feel for her."
After 10 years of marriage, Brinkley filed for divorce in 2006 after learning that Cook, now 49, was having an affair with an 18-year-old who worked in his architecture firm. The other woman, Diana Bianchi, is expected to testify in court about the relationship.
Besides Sailor, Cook adopted Brinkley's 13-year-old son, Jack Paris, from a previous marriage.
