Steven Page, singer-guitarist for the band Barenaked Ladies, was arrested early Friday morning in Fayetteville, N.Y., a village near Syracuse, for alleged cocaine possession, say authorities.

Page, 38, and friend Stephanie Ford, 25, were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Ford was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Both were arraigned and released after posting bail – $10,000 for Page, and $5,000 for Ford.

A third person, Christine Benedito, was also arrested later that same morning, and all three are scheduled to appear in Village of Fayetteville Justice Court on Thursday.

A rep for the Barenaked Ladies told TMZ, "We can not comment because the matter is before the court. We are confident that our client Steven will be completely exonerated. Until that time it is business as usual for the Barenaked Ladies."
