Modeling may have made a star out of Kate Moss, but she admits to finding the profession "a bit brain-damaging."
Still, Moss, 34, admits in the August issue of Vogue, "They are such good jobs that you don't want to say no."
Besides, she says, "I like making money. But I don't call people up every day to see how much I've made. As long as I have what I need at the time; I mean, I can buy the house that I want. I am not completely money-oriented."
And the money helps with her main focus: developing her own retail brand, sold through Topshop – something she says "needed to do".
"All that dressing up makes me say, 'What do I want to wear? What do I want to do with Topshop?' " she says. "It all kind of leads into the other things."
Moss, who is the face of Yves Saint Laurent, is also launching a perfume this month.
Personally, she says her reputation as a bad girl is exaggerated, and she prefers to concentrate on her role as mother to 5-year-old daughter Lila Rose.
"I'm a mum. All the time. Every day," Moss says. "I put my daughter to bed."
