Sarah Silverman's longtime friend Jon Hamm says the comedian is coping as well as can be expected after her recent breakup with Jimmy Kimmel.
"She's doing great," the Emmy-nominated Hamm told PEOPLE at Monday's Hollywood premiere of the second season of his acclaimed AMC series Mad Men. (The series resumes on the cable channel this Sunday, while the DVD set of the first season has just been released.)
But, the actor added, "It's a tough time for everybody ... you know that's never easy when something like that happens."
Hamm, 37, who has guest-starred on Comedy Central's The Sarah Silverman Program, foresees a bright future for both Silverman, 37, and Kimmel, 40, who had been together for five years.
"They're two adults, and they're living their life," he said. "And they will find happiness down the road."
