Talent runs in the Lohan family – just ask Lindsay
's constant companion, Samantha Ronson.
The DJ took to her MySpace celebrity blog
Sunday to announce that Ali Lohan's new single, "All The Way Around," is just plain "great."
She also refuted a report that claims she had refused to play the teenager's track at a recent party.
"I really like the song – as soon as her myspace page goes up it will be a song of the day," she wrote. "It's a great f---ing pop song!"
Ronson said she usually ignores rumors but this time felt compelled to respond.
"People might actually believe [the story] and that's not fair to Ali," she explained. "She's 14 years old – high school is bad enough – do tabloids really need to torture teenagers as well?"
The DJ's public support is sure to please Ali, who recently told PEOPLE
it would be "really cool" if Ronson played the tune at one of her gigs.
Further to the matter, Lohan matriarch Dina Lohan denies the report that she asked Ronson to play Ali's single, telling PEOPLE that the tabloid story was "Total b.s. ... I never gave any music to Sam. Sam and Linds love Ali and her song."
