Nothing says "I Love You" like blowing up an evil dictator ...
Tom Cruise's World War II movie Valkyrie – about a plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler – just bagged a new release date: Feb. 13, 2009.
The pre-Valentine's Day slot follows a series of postponements for the controversial film. But Cruise's costar, Bill Nighy, insists that doesn't mean the movie is a dud.
"One of the reasons that the date was changed was in order to do ... extra scenes," the British actor told MTV News. "Valkyrie is a great story, a true story, and it's a faithful account."
The film chronicles the story of Claus von Stauffenberg (Cruise), a Nazi general who leads a plot to assassinate Hitler during the waning years of the war.
Love Actually's Nighy said he's optimistic the movie will do well with it's new calendar slot. "It's Valentine's Day," he joked. "So take your date to see a movie about killing Hitler!"
