Zac Efron feels the need for speed – at least he did while at the Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif., recently where he practiced racing an Audi R8.
The High School Musical 3 star hit the racetrack for a day of joyriding as part of the Audi Driving Experience. But first things first: The heartthrob sat through an hour long training session and then some breaking and acceleration warm ups. Then it was time to slip into the $118,000 car that most recently drew attention as character Tony Stark's speed machine in Iron Man.
It was all quite the adrenaline rush for Efron who raced for four hours at speeds over 100 mph. "I've never been on a race track before, never once – and we were going pretty fast by the end," he said.
