Kattan, 37, and Tutt, 31, who started dating in 2005 after meeting at a birthday party, were married June 28 in Yosemite Valley, Calif.
Papers filed Thursday by Kattan in L.A. Superior Court say the pair separated on Aug. 10 due to "irreconcilable differences." The former couple also have a prenuptial agreement, the papers say.
The legal filling comes three days after Kattan's rep announced the split, saying the pair had "no plans for a divorce at this time."
