More than 150 friends surprised Olympic skating champ Scott Hamilton to celebrate his 50th birthday at a private residence in Los Angeles on Sunday.

"We got him," cheered his wife Tracie, who drove Hamilton blindfolded from Van Nuys airport to the party. "He thought he was going to spa resort."

Among the surprise party-enablers were country singer Brad Paisley and his wife, According to Jim actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who rode with the Hamiltons from the airport to the celebration.

"I was greeted by friends from every phase of my life," a teary-eyed Hamilton said later. "This is the best gift of all."

Joining the festivities were skating and Dancing with the Stars champ Kristi Yamaguchi and her husband, NHL hockey player Bret Hedican, William Shatner, singer Michael Adair (aka Meatloaf), Kevin Sorbo, Monty Python comedian Eric Idle and Olympic decathlon champ Bruce Jenner.

Funnyman Kevin Nealon, in the guise of his SNL character Mr. Subliminal, roasted Hamilton with a hilarious routine – then entertained the crowd by jamming on the banjo with Idle and Paisley.
