The show must go on, but leading lady Téa Leoni is sitting this year’s Toronto International Film Festival out.
Just days after David Duchovny announced that he has entered a rehabilitation center for sex addiction
, Leoni, his wife of 11 years, has canceled her scheduled appearance at the upcoming fest, where her film Ghost Town
is set to premiere, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.
Duchovny, 48, announced that he was entering rehab last week in an exclusive statement.
"I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family," the actor said.
Duchovny, who has addressed rumors of sex addiction
in the past, finished filming the second season of his Showtime series, Californication,
last month. The show returns Sept. 28.
"All of us at Showtime wish David and his family the best during this very private time," a rep said in a statement.
