Très Jolie, indeed.
Angelina Jolie is no casual Francophile. In fact, the actress – who has been studying the language for years and is now living outside of Nice – says she's interested in starring in a French movie.
"When I can really speak it, then maybe I'll audition for a French film in a few years," Jolie (whose last name means "pretty" in French) tells the new issue of the German magazine Focus. "I truly am interested – more and more fantastic films are coming out of Europe and other cultures."
So why hasn't she worked in Europe already?
"No one has asked me yet!" Jolie said.
The star of the upcoming Changeling – who's currently nesting in a sprawling estate in the South of France with boyfriend Brad Pitt and their six kids – also told the magazine that she rarely watches movies.
"It's simply hard for me to sit still for two hours," she admitted. "I would rather read something, or study or travel to experience something new."
Pitt is the family's hardcore movie buff, she added. "When we watch together, then I usually nod off or press pause so that I can take care of the kids."
