"Miley Cyrus is about to take her career in a whole new direction," says Klang, 23, who released his solo album Just a Rolling Stone on Tuesday. "I've been writing with that in mind. I would love to do a song with her."
He says he already has the perfect song for the 15-year-old Disney star.
"I wrote a song called 'Rebelling' that I feel like would fit her," he says. "Especially for a singer that's in the limelight at such a young age, she's eventually going to hit a point, like Britney or Lindsay, where she needs to go out and rebel."
Miley's not the only young gun he's after. "Take a rapper, myself and a Jonas Brother, and just do new stuff. That's what I want to do," says Klang, who is the first solo winner of the MTV show. "I would love to collaborate with a country music star, [like] Carrie Underwood."
For now, he's still dazzled by his new position in the music world. "I met Brandy at a radio station in the Midwest," he says. "She wrapped her arms around me and was like, 'Oh my God, I love you. My family loves you.' And I was like, 'You're Brandy.' She's coming up to me saying she's a fan. What's going on?"
