It's only the second day previews for Broadway's Equus, but Daniel Radcliffe has made it clear he loves his new home.
"I love New York very much, yes! Everyone's been wonderful," said Radcliffe after his Saturday performance of the Peter Shaffer play at the Broadhurst Theater in New York.
Putting to rest any doubts that his move from the show's original West End, London, locale to N.Y.C was difficult, Radcliffe was emphatic: "I love Broadway!"
Two of his costars agree, describing Radcliffe as a pleasure to work with. "He's great, absolutely great," said Adesola Osakalumi, who portrays a horse in the dark psychological drama.
Added another of the show's horses, Collin Baja, "Daniel's wonderful. He has no ego at all, which is really nice."
Other supporters of the star? Mom and Dad.
After signing autographs, Radcliffe, dressed sharply in a black leather jacket, a brown newsboy hat, and skinny jeans, left the theater in a black GMC SUV with his parents, Alan Radcliffe and Marcia Gresham, waiting in the backseat.
Opening night is scheduled for Sept. 25, and the production will play through Feb. 8, 2009.
