Christina Applegate, who underwent a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer, will make a high-profile public appearance as one of the presenters at the Emmy Awards, PEOPLE has learned.
Applegate, 36, who says she is now cancer free following the surgery, also is nominated for an Emmy for lead actress in a comedy series for Samantha Who? on ABC.
Other presenters to be announced Thursday are Lauren Conrad, Kiefer Sutherland, Candice Bergen, David Boreanaz, Wayne Brady and Jimmy Kimmel.
The 60th Primetime Emmy Awards air at 8 p.m. Sept. 21 on ABC.
