"It's very rare," Faison, 34, says of his relationship with Braff, 33. "Zach and I are both very lucky. I think our bromance is probably one of the strongest in Hollywood. At least I can say ours is real."
On the show, Faison plays best friend Dr. Christopher Duncan Turk to Braff's John "J.D." Dorian.
"I genuinely like hanging out with the dude, and I feel like he genuinely likes hanging out with me," says Faison, speaking on the Studio City set (originally, a hospital) where Scrubs is filmed – and where the wrap party was held, amid a combination of tears and Moet champagne.
"We have the same sense of humor. I think that's why we're so close. We laugh at the same jokes."
The series ended on NBC last May (after being severely interrupted by the writers' strike), and ABC will begin airing new episodes this winter. However, Braff and Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence announced last summer that the eighth season would be their last.
