Andre Agassi Loves to Spend Time with Family

Agassi, honored at the 23rd Annual Great Sports Legends Dinner for the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis at Manhattan's Waldorf Astoria Monday night, tells PEOPLE he, wife Steffi Graf, son Jaden, 6, and daughter Jaz, 4, flew from their Las Vegas home to catch the final game in Yankee Stadium, in great seats, of course.
"It really left a mark on the kids," Agassi said before the event, which raised $7 million. "That's one of the great things about children. You get to see it through their eyes and everything as a result of that, so it was an incredible incredible time."
Yet Sunday was no different than other days for the Agassi kids. "We love to spend time with family," Agassi reveals of his brood and neighboring cousins and grandparents. "They could be on an airplane for all they care. As long as they are together they seem to have a blast. They go swimming when the weather is right, barbecue and play."
He adds: "I wake up every morning, it's like a discovery. It is a gift and I wouldn't know what to do without them."
With such tennis genes – and 4-year-old Jaz already playing four times a week – any future tennis prodigies in his brood? "It's doubtful, it's doubtful," Agassi says.
"[Becoming pro] would require a life commitment from us on a certain level, and we've lived it," Agassi says, breaking off. "So it's not something we're going to push. But ultimately we care about them and if it's their choice we'll ..." Guess, only time will tell!
