But the couple, whose twins turn 2 this month, are still in pre-planning stages. "We're trying to find the right time now actually to go down and do it – [that] is where we're at," Etheridge said Wednesday, according to Extra.
When the pair first exchanged vows five years ago in Malibu, same-sex marriages weren't legally recognized in California. (Michaels, however, has changed her last name to Etheridge.) Earlier this year, California's Supreme Court ruled to allow gay marriage under the state's constitution.
Etheridge, 47, is a mom to four kids, including twins – son Miller Steven and daughter Johnnie Rose – who Tammy, 33, delivered in October 2006.
The singer, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004, spoke to Extra at Universal City's Hard Rock Cafe, where she performed to launch Pinktober, the restaurant's breast cancer awareness program.
