Behind the Seams
One of the loveliest trends on the Emmys red carpet? The Veronica Lake-like hairstyles on Kyra Sedgwick and America Ferrera. The Ugly Betty star's stylist Frédéric Fekkai's Daniel Howell says he and Ferrera decided on a retro look to go with her vintage dress: "It was a bit more period, but had a softness to it."
POSH'S NEW PIXIE
Victoria Beckham recently debuted a daring new do. Here's how to get the look:
Bend It Like Beckham: "Use a flat iron to turn the roots and get them to separate," says Beckham's stylist Garren.
Muss It Up: Pomade will give the hair a piecey look.
Finishing Touch: For added hold, Garren chose his signature Designing Spray Tonic.

ASHLEY & MARY-KATE'S
NEW JEWELRY LINE
With designer Robert Lee Morris, they debut an edgy, chic collection
EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK!
You are both known for wearing fabulous jewelry; is that why you started this line?
MARY-KATE: It is a natural extension for [our clothing line] Elizabeth and James. Ashley and I love accessorizing, and it's a fun part of our style.
What was your inspiration?
ASHLEY: Mary-Kate and I wanted to offer jewelry with an edge—but incorporate fun, flirty, feminine pieces.
How was it working with Morris, who is a famed jewelry designer?
MARY-KATE: Ashley and I loved exploring his archives from the '70s and '80s. We collaborated and added a modern twist to some of his classic designs.
Do you have a favorite piece?
MARY-KATE: If I had to choose, it would be the knuckle ring or dagger necklace. They're bold designs.
Can these pieces be worn in different ways?
ASHLEY: Absolutely. The collection is meant to be layered. Many of the necklaces can be wrapped around the wrist and worn as layered bracelets, and rings can be worn as charms on chains. The designs can stand alone, but layering really makes a statement.
