Princess Beatrice arrives for her first day at Goldsmiths, University of London
Princess Beatrice is loving her life as a college student – and says her school is just "like NYU."
The 20-year-old princess – who recently enrolled at London's Goldsmiths University to study for a BA in History and the History of Ideas – took a break from her studies Thursday night to attend an event at Harrods, London.
Looking radiant and happy in a Luella dress and sexy Christian Louboutin heels, she told PEOPLE that she has already adjusted to university life. "It is really great and it is going very well," she said at the launch of Petra Ecclestone's menswear line, Form. "I really recommend it to anyone."
Still, she's not living like your average
Beatrice has chosen not to stay in the dorms. Instead, she has rooms at the grand St. James's Palace, close to her cousins Princes William
"I don't live in the halls," she said, "and I can see my family every time I want."
And since classes began, she has been spotted out at London Fashion Week and partying at the Kingly Club and Bungalow 8, hot spots for the rich and famous. (She often makes the scene with her American boyfriend Dave Clark.)
But Beatrice swears she's enjoying the "small community" of her university. "It is like NYU," she said. "The best thing by far has been making new friends."
