MTV has taped American songstress Katy Perry – famous for her insanely catchy single "I Kissed a Girl" – to host the network's Europe Music Awards on Nov. 6.
"Do they know what they're getting into?" Perry pondered. "I just hope that I don't spill my cocktail!"
The Californian-born singer-songwriter – who's also a two-time nominee in the best new act and most addictive track categories – follows in the footsteps of previous hosts Christina Aguilera and Snoop Dogg.
The show, which will take place in Liverpool, will include performances by Beyoncé Knowles, Pink and the Killers.
"I was so excited when I heard that I was nominated for two awards," Perry told MTV. "But when I was asked to host the show I wet myself, Fergie-style."
