"I think I'm getting out of the hospital soon," the drummer – who suffered second and third degree burns in a fiery plane crash earlier this fall – wrote on his MySpace blog.
Barker, who has two children – Landon, 4, and Alabama, 2 – with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler, says he's anxious for a family reunion.
"I can't wait to get out of here and be home with the babes," said the former Blink-182 star, who has endured seven surgeries. "The doctors say I'm healing up quickly and I'm going to be out of here before you know it." (The blog also includes updated photos of Barker's hospital life, including a shot of his badly injured hand making a not-so-polite gesture.)
The musician and his performing partner, DJ AM, were both seriously injured in the late September crash, which killed four others.
DJ AM (a.k.a. Adam Goldstein) recently opened up to PEOPLE about the harrowing experience, saying, "I can't believe I made it."
