Former first lady Nancy Reagan returned home Friday from a Los Angeles hospital named after her late husband, four days after being admitted with a broken pelvis.
Doctors at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center "expect a full recovery, prescribing a regimen of daily physical therapy and a reduced public schedule," says a statement by Reagan spokeswoman Joanne Drake.
Reagan, 87, fell at her Bel Air home last week and, after the pain persisted, decided Monday to be examined at the hospital.
According to the statement, Reagan thanked the doctors and joked, "I hope it won't hurt anyone's feelings if I don't return anytime soon!"
Reagan also thanked well-wishers who called and sent e-mails, flowers and cards.
