These four Louisiana pals—Rich Collins, Scott Durbin, Dave Poche and Scott "Smitty" Smith—rose up after Hurricane Katrina to star in a new musical series on the Disney Channel.

MAKING THE BAND
Bored at their day jobs in '02, the guys started playing kids' parties. "It was a grassroots situation," says Durbin.

WHEN KATRINA STRUCK
"Three of the four of us lost our homes," says Collins. But spirits were lifted by parents saying, "Thank you. Your music helped our children feel less scared."

SO THEY KEPT GOING
With jobs and mortgages washed away, "we had newfound resolve," says Collins. "We had a chance to remake our lives."
