Now that Amy Poehler is a new mom – of son Archie Arnett, born Oct. 25 – the Saturday Night Live star has started viewing the NBC show differently. From home, that is.
Poehler's SNL costar Kenan Thompson tells PEOPLE Poehler watched the show in bed with Archie (dad is comedian-actor Will Arnett).
Poehler sent Thompson a special text message after she witnessed the cast's vocal tribute to her the day she gave birth, when they tweaked Frankie Valli's lyrics "I love you, baby" to "We love you, Amy."
"She said, 'Oh, you made me cry! I'm sitting here with Archibald and we're watching it,' " Thompson, 30, told PEOPLE at the opening party for Juicy Couture's 5th Avenue flagship store in Manhattan. "It was cool."
While Poehler has announced that she will not be returning to the show, another star may, says Thompson. That would be Barack Obama.
"He's been on before, right before he got the nomination," Thompson told PEOPLE. "If he comes back, that would be awesome. I'm sure he's got his hands full, though."
