"We're very much in love," the singer tells to PEOPLE.
The two walked the red carpet together for the first time at the CMA Awards earlier this month, and have been gushing about each other ever since.
Wicks got to know Hough while touring with Brad Paisley over the summer, and admits that he was anxious around the Dancing star at first. "My famous pick-up line was, 'The catering is great', and then I walked away I was so nervous," he says.
Now that the butterflies are tamed, the singer says they "are a laid back, normal couple" whose date nights are usually low-key affairs that include dinner and a movie.
With the holidays just around the corner, Wicks is planning to spend time with his main squeeze and her family. He tells PEOPLE they will have "turkey in Las Vegas" with Hough's clan and follow it up with Christmas in Nashville.
