VIDEO: Harry Connick Jr. Duets with His Daughter
Singer Harry Connick Jr.'s 11-year-old daughter, Kate, made her national singing debut on NBC's Today show Wednesday, joining her dad on the holiday classic, "Winter Wonderland."
Connick, who has two other daughters, Georgia, 12, and Charlotte, 6, with wife Jill Goodacre, beamed as he watched his middle child perform.
Kate's surprisingly natural, relaxed-sounding voice – the opposite of so many young singers who try to belt like Mariah, or whose voices are touched up with special effects in the studio – is featured on Connick's new CD, What a Night! A Christmas Album.
Working with his daughter "brought back some nice memories," Connick says on his Web site, "because I was about Kate's age when I did my first recording.”
