Twilight's Kristen Stewart to Play Joan Jett in Biopic

Kristen Stewart rolled with fangless vampires in the megahit Twilight, but she's getting her music chops sharpened to portray rocker Joan Jett in an upcoming biopic.

The film, The Runaways, which will depict the 1970s all-girl band's meteoric rise and fall, is being executive-produced by the 50-year-old singer – best known for the hit "I Love Rock 'N' Roll," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Stewart, who is reprising her role as Bella in the sequel New Moon, is slated to start filming The Runaways in 2009 while working around her Twilight commitments.
