"I've been better, but I'm good today," Locklear, 47, said Wednesday on The Tonight Show. "Here I am, safe and sound."
Asked by Jay Leno if she would have done anything differently this year, she joked, "I would have stayed in my house."
But she said that although she learned "hard lessons," she "wouldn't have done anything differently because, here I am today, happy and healthy, and lessons are to learn."
Locklear said she spent Thanksgiving with ex-husband Richie Sambora, their 11-year-old daughter Ava and Locklear's boyfriend Jack Wagner.
Of Sambora, she said: "We're better friends now than we were when we were married."
