Millions of records sold? Check. Screaming fans? Check. And now singing sensations The Jonas Brothers and Katy Perry have another stamp of approval: Grammy nominations.

Nominations for the 51st annual Grammy Awards were announced live on Wednesday night during the first-ever Grammy Nominations Concert on CBS, with the Brothers and Perry garnering one apiece.

"It was just all so fast," said Joe Jonas, 19, on Ryan Seacreast's KIIS FM radio show Thursday. "We thought we were going to be late. We rushed to our seats and right away they're like, 'And the New Artist nominees are...' We just can't believe it still, and we're just so thankful. It's amazing."

Kevin Jonas, 21, was equally gleeful. "It's incredible," he told Seacrest. "We are just shocked and blown away, we honestly are. To be recognized among your peers is maybe one of the coolest things in the world. And to be voted on by the Grammy association is incredible and we are just blown away."

Also shocked by the recognition was Perry, 24, who shared with Seacrest her reaction to garnering best female pop vocal performance nod for the No. 1 smash "I Kissed a Girl." Asked whether she could believe she'd been nominated, she replied: "Not really, it's the Grammys. It's kind of like this, like, super high-class club that they gave me a ticket into."

When asked about bloggers who opined that she should have received more nominations, particularly record of the year, a gracious Perry commented on a Grammy rival she considers to have been snubbed. "Well, look, that's nice of them to say so," she said. "I felt like Leona Lewis got robbed, honestly."

As for who the Jonas Brothers are would like to see win, they would like to see Coldplay's "Viva la Vida" win record of the year. "For us, I think we might be pulling for Coldplay," said Nick Jonas, 16. "We got to meet Chris Martin last week at the American Music Awards, and that was unbelievable. Chris Martin, he's like one of our heroes and he just was talking and he’s like, 'You guys are the biggest band in the world.' And we're like, 'Uh, no, you are.'"

The Grammys will air Feb. 8 from L.A.'s Staples Center on CBS.
