The talk show host, magazine editor, philanthropist and icon was named the most influential woman in the entertainment industry in the Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment: Power 100 list.
Winfrey was chosen "based on her dizzying array of Oprah-branded media and her immense cultural influence," the trade publication's editor-in-chief Elizabeth Guider said in a statement Friday.
Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie topped the list of the highest-paid actresses.
Jolie, whose 2008 movies grossed nearly $1 billion worldwide, commands more than $15 million a movie.
On the Power 100 list, Jolie was followed by Julia Roberts and 2007's best-paid actress, Reese Witherspoon.
