Sister: Why Mom Flipped Over Heidi Montag's Elopement

After Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt eloped in Mexico without friends or family present, Heidi's mother was none too pleased.

Now Montag's sister Holly is defending her mother's reaction.

"She had a lot of raw feelings and she kind of let loose about it," Holly Montag tells Hollyscoop.com.

"I think she's kind of remorseful about what she said in retrospect," Montag adds. "We all understand and everybody understands."

So what does Holly think about missing her 22-year-old sister's ceremony, which MTV filmed for an episode of The Hills?

"I was initially a little hurt not being able to be a part of it. But it's her choice and it's a special thing between those two," she says. "I support anything Heidi wants to do. I just want her to be happy and she seems sublimely happy."
