• Robert Pattinson, partnering with Katy Perry to throw their friend Shannon Woodward a birthday bash at
West Hollywood's Il Sole. The hunky Twilight star and the pop
singer are mutual friends of the actress, who starred in
one of Perry's music videos. Enjoying drinks and a long three-course meal of
the burrata salad, lasagna, asparagus gnocchi and tiramisu, Perry and
Pattinson played perfect hosts, only leaving the soiree to take pictures
with fans outside the Italian restaurant.
• Jessica Alba, taking her 6-month-old daughter,
Honor, for pictures with Santa Claus at the Beverly Center shopping mall in
L.A. Alba's daughter wore a red velvet dress, and calmly sat on Santa's lap
while her mom looked on proudly and helped direct the photo shoot. "It was
adorable," an onlooker tells us. "The baby was great – she didn't cry.
Jessica was editing all the photos like a director." Alba was also very into
the mall's other, svelter Mr. Claus. "She thought he was hot," the onlooker
says after catching the actress checking out a photo of "hunky Santa."
• Scarlett Johansson, holding court on a couch
inside the banquet room of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. There to celebrate The Spirit, which she premiered earlier at Grauman's Chinese Theater, the
actress sat sipping white wine and munching
finger food, while keeping the rapt attention of three male companions. Also there: her costar Eva Mendes, though the
ladies never interacted at the party.
• It was a guys' night out at West Hollywood's Crown Bar:
Leonardo DiCaprio was drinking a cocktail when pal Kevin Connolly arrived. The two greeted each other happily, grabbed
drinks and seemed to be laughing and catching up. Also hanging out:
Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson. After walking
inside, the two made a beeline for the kitchen area but
never returned to the nightspot's main area.
• Before beginning his late-night run on NBC, Jimmy Fallon has been polishing his comedy chops at a Dallas comedy club.
The funnyman was staying at the Stoneleigh Hotel and Spa and was a fixture
in the Bolla Bar, where he relaxed with friends. Fallon also treated himself
to a facial at the spa.
