Couples Watch: Ryan & Abbie, Reese & Jake ...
Back from filming in London, Jake Gyllenhaal celebrated his 28th birthday with Reese Witherspoon and family. The actress and her 5-year-old son, Deacon, treated Gyllenhaal to a special breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien in Brentwood. According to an eyewitness, "Reese and Jake looked super-cute together." The happy trio sat at the restaurant's wooden community table to eat their omelets and coffee. "Reese was just glowing," the onlooker tells us. Gyllenhaal was also very attentive to Deacon, and "it was very obvious that Jake had fun."
Ashton Kutcher, singing karaoke at his company's holiday party for an audience including wife Demi Moore. Held at L.A.'s Geisha House, the Katalyst Films bash coaxed out Kutcher's inner '80s rocker: He performed Night Ranger's "Sister Christian." According to an onlooker, "after much persuasion, Demi got up and sang too." Her choice? "Sweet Home Alabama," which inspired cheers from the crowd. "She looked like she was having a lot of fun," the source says.
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, sharing casual drinks with friends (including Benji Madden) at Teddy's inside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The group sat by the deejay booth. "They were there for a couple hours, laughing, talking and having a good time," says a source.
Also at the Hollywood Roosevelt (on a separate night): Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman, rushing out of the hotel's private elevators with Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson. The group scampered across the lobby and took a corner booth in the adjacent bar, 25 Degrees. They ordered a bunch of food, and laughed as they ate.
