Mario Lopez Wishes Fergie and Josh Well on Nuptials

While Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson and actor Josh Duhamel make final preparations for their weekend nuptials, Extra host Mario Lopez can't wait to share in their happy day.

And the Dancing alum has a special bond with Fergie: Both both were one other's first kiss in the '80s, when they starred on Kids Incorporated.

"It's a true story. I'm very proud of my first kiss," says Lopez, PEOPLE's top bachelor of 2008. "She says there was no tongue!"

But there was a romance, albeit brief, for the youngsters.

"I wrote her a note and, as she likes to point out, I was very smooth at 10 because I bought her perfume," Lopez says, laughing. "I think the gesture was pretty good for a kid."

Once the young romance fizzled, a friendship blossomed. "I'm happy to say Stacy has stayed just as sweet as when we were kids," Lopez says. "I'm happy for all of her success. She deserves it. Josh is a great guy. They will be great together."
