Ronaldo's teammate Edwin van der Sar, in a Bentley, had been following the Ferrari – but was not involved in the smashup, in which Ronaldo, 23, lost one of his wheels.
A spokesman for Manchester United said, "He was involved in an incident this morning. No other cars were involved. He's fine and is training as normal with the team this morning."
