Thief Makes Off with Princess Beatrice's BMW
Britain's Princess Beatrice may have scored some bargains in London's post-holiday sales, but she lost her beloved BMW in the process.

Beatrice, 20, the eldest daughter of Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, was on a break from classes at Goldsmith's College earlier this week when she parked her car in fashionable west London, and left the keys in the ignition.

A daring thief made off with the princess's luxury ride – a 17th birthday present from her father, Prince Andrew – even though Beatrice was accompanied by a police protection officer at the time.

London police confirmed Friday that they are continuing to hunt for the missing $25,000 car.

A spokesman at Buckingham Palace had no comment, saying it is a matter for the police.

It's not the first spate of bad luck for the princess in recent weeks. On Dec. 17, her Norfolk terrier Max went missing, but returned home, safe and well, about two weeks later.
