THRILLER
The latest in Cornwell's hit series starring forensic pathologist Kay Scarpetta finds the main characters grappling with personal demons while trying to solve a brutal murder case involving a female dwarf. The coolly graphic autopsy scenes are classic Scarpetta, but new elements—a paranoid, Botoxed suspect, a gossip site called Gotham Gotcha that propels the plot—keep this tale fresh.
