Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas
Sure, their Dad will be sworn as the 44th President of the United States next week but guess what's even cooler: Malia and Sasha Obama get to see the Jonas Brothers
live in concert!
The Presidential Inaugural Committee announced Tuesday that the pop-rock trio will headline the Kids' Inaugural: We Are the Future concert, which honors military families, on Jan. 19 at the Verizon Center.
The Jonas Brothers – one of Sasha and Malia's favorite bands – will perform along with Miley Cyrus
and her dad Billy Ray, Bow-Wow and Demi Lovato during a kid-friendly show hosted by Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden with special appearances by Rihanna
and Shaquille O'Neal.
The concert will air on the Disney Channel at 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 19.
President-elect Barack Obama will get a chance to hear his own "musical hero" Stevie Wonder perform the next night at The Neighborhood Ball: An Inauguration Celebration, which will also feature performances by Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Faith Hill
, Mariah Carey
and Alicia Keys
, the PIC confirmed Tuesday.
The live event, which will include the President and first lady's first dance of the night, will air live on ABC on Jan. 20 at 8 pm.
